I just purchased my "Give Away" from Sew Unique Threads while I was there using the longarm today. I am so geeked about how well my quilting on the longarm is going and even more geeked about the blog party hop and the give away. The give away is a table runner pattern that uses a charm pack to make the top plus a charm pack made by Moda by Lauren & Jessi Jung called FLORA. Just love the greens, yellows, pinks and blues...totally spring and summer fabric. Hope everyone likes the choice I made. To earn a chance to win the TR and Flora charm pack you simply need to answer the question, What quilt is on your bed right now? in the place for comments. Your name will go into a basket for the drawing on March 23rd. Be sure to sign up with the Blog Party Give Away..click on the icon...to learn what other blogs have joined in the party.
Can you update this post to include the link to the party please.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Michele
I love the pattern and the charm pack you selected! I have the first quilt I ever made on the bed right now - Tennesse Waltz in browns, creams and scrappy prints. Still love it so much!
ReplyDeleteI have a 10 month old baby sleeping in my bed right now (sigh... one of these days he'll find the crib!) under an Amy Butler LOVE quilt. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors of the charm pack! The quilt on my bed right now is actually the third one that I finished and the only one I've made for my husband and I - it's just purple/black/blue colored charm squares with a simple border and a plain backing fabric. I definitely plan to make something different, because now that I've made more quilts, the one that I've got on the bed seems SO terrible! Haha!
ReplyDeleteSadly, no quilt on my bed right now. ONly fleece blankets.
ReplyDeleteI have a star quilt on my bed right now. You did an AWESOME job picking out your prize! I've seen the Flora fabric line and love it! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I don't have any quilt on the bed, but an old woolen blanket. I have 2 cats and somehow I don't have a heart to put a quilt on the bed which would get scratched or covered with cat fur ;) Thanks for the chance to win and best regards from Germany!

I am so blessed to have a quilt made by grandmother who passed away at 102 and at the foot of bed is a beautiful appliqued butterfly quilt made by my best friend's mother who has also passed away. One of these days though, it is going to be my own quilt covering me up....hopefully while I am still kicking....thank you for being so generous and have a great day!

ReplyDeleteOn the bed is a quilt that my mother hand pieced . She complained the whole time because she didn't like the Aunt Grace fabric. I love it!! She is in a nursing home with Alzheimer's now so it has even more special meaning to me.
ReplyDeleteOne bed has a triple irish chain and one has a very modern batik quilt. Apparently I'm conflicted about my style!
ReplyDeleteUm, well, technically there is a quilt on my bed but it is just across the foot of the bed! It is my Charm Pack Quilt from Freckled Whimsy's blog. You can see it here.

ReplyDeleteI have a quilt I made last year using burgundy fabric. It is a sort of pin wheel pattern. Not sure of the name. I got it out of a quilt magazine. You make two squares, one light and one dark and then slice on the diagonal and sew a light to a dark. The blocks are 12 inches. It is the first quilt I made for me. I tend to give all my quilts away.
ReplyDeleteRight now I have a blue and white pinwheel quilt on my bed. It was the third quilt that I had made and it fits a queen size bed. I definitely sent that one to my long-arm quilting lady! :)
ReplyDeleteRIght now, I have a big blanket on my bed. I haven't had the courage to quilt a queen size quilt yet. However, on my 3 year old's toddler bed is a Cars the movie quilt I made for her birthday!
ReplyDeleteAt the moment a store bought comforter. The quilt that is being made for my bed is not quite half way pieced.
ReplyDeleteI have a pink and green quilt with a lovely green toile backing on my bed that my cats loves to sleep on.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt on my bed right now is hand-sewn with appliqued daffodils and hand-quilted. This quilt was made for me by my mother who is 90 years old now and still quilting although she uses her sewing machine for quilting now. Thanks for the opportunity to win your giveaway.

ReplyDeletethe quilt on my bed is the quilt that my mother and I made together when I was around 16 years old, that making it about 46 years old. It is in pinks and greens. Lovely choice of fabrics for the pattern. Thank you for your great sense of style. Happy blogging and don't forget to drop by my place for a totally fun giveaway. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful giveaway! Right now I have a winter quilt with a log cabin design, it is getting so warm here that it is almost time to change it to a Spring type quilt.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt on my bed is a western cowboy quilt, but am ashamed to say I bought it. I make quilts for everyone else, and since we have a king size bed I haven't gotten one made.
ReplyDeleteJust took a black, white, and red sampler quilt off my bed - it's too hot for that quilt on the bed now. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!! I just have a scrappy quilt on my bed.

ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway... keeping my fingers crossed ;)
I have a wedding ring quilt on my bed at the moment. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I would have one on my bed if I would make one for me rather than for everyone else :) Soon though!
ReplyDeleteThe top quilt is a liberated star quilt pattern from House of birches patterns and under that is a feathered star medallion quilt. They both have a lot of blue in them .

:( No quilt on my bed. Maybe some day!
ReplyDeleteGreat question! Right now, I have a Kaffe Fassett string quilt with pale green center strips, and a Kaffe Fassett string quilt with fuschia center strips -- one quilt on each side! I do love his fabrics.
ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway! On my bed is a very old quilt - light purple solids and patterned fabrics, done in a log cabin design, mostly hand sewn and with polyester batting. I acquired this quilt by accident - literally. I used to be part of the volunteer ambulance crew in my town. There was an accident down the highway that we responded to. A tour bus had been first on site and one of the tourists had given this quilt to cover the injured motorcyclists. After we transported him to hospital I washed the quilt and tried to find a way to find the owner and return it, but had no luck. So I kept it and we have used it well.
ReplyDeleteI have a Williamsburg collection quilt on my bed right now that I purchased... working on making my own quilt from Civil War reproduction fabrics.
ReplyDeleteRight now we have a quilt from Target on the bed...very uninspiring, I know. I just bought some Flea Market Fancy, though, to start work on a new one. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSadly enough, I don't have a quilt on my bed right now. I'm a newbie
ReplyDeletequilter and seem to keep making things for others and not for me, LOL.
Thought I did win a charm pack of Pure by Sweetwater last month and I'm going to make me something out of it.
love you giveaway
ReplyDeleteRight now; Double Irish Chain in green and cream is on my bed. Thank you for a wonderful giveaway
ReplyDeleteUghh - what a question! Sadly, the quilt that is on my bed right now is a cheapy I bought at Walmart! I give my quilts away and don't keep anything that large for myself. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWe just have a store bought comforter on the bed right now. We are in the process of finally painting and redecorating our bedroom and I have been gathering fabric to make a Queen-size super simple quilt using large squares of fabric. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteRight now it is a comforter but in the summer I will change it to my log cabin.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to make a quilt for my own bed. I do have a lighter quilt that was created by one of my grandmothers sisters kids um what ever that relation is called. It was machine quilted with a fancy design I got it just a few months before I started to quilt. I am making one for my wife but will be months before I get it near done still too many skills to learn but have been making a ton of lap quilts all machine quilted.

I actually have 2 quilts on my bed. The first is called Woodpile - a mock log cabin quilt, and the first quilt I quilted a cabled feather in the border. The second is a star quilt. I love both of these quilts. Thanks for a chance.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt on my bed is a store bought bedding set. When my quilting skills improve I will make one, not yet though. Thanks for hosting a giveaway.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, I do not have a quilt on my bed and I have been a quilter for 20 years! I just finished a Bento Box quilt in king size and am going to get it quilted this week!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a quilt on my bed!!! I did make one for my daughter though...it was my first quilt and she has that on her bed.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt on my bed right now is a patchwork that I love and is so soft and comfy!
ReplyDeleteI have a storebought quilt on my bed right now (I know, shame on me) BUT I have 4 quilt tops ready for the longarmer & 1 of them is going to be mine!! Part of the problem is that I am a tablerunner addict & have been making one for every season & holiday that comes along! So would love to win the pattern & charm. Thanks for the chance & Happy St. Paddy's Day!
ReplyDeleteJust an old comforter.
ReplyDeleteI have a chocolate and born cw (in the pink) on my bed and headboard.
ReplyDeleteI have an american quilt on my bed at the mo' with loads of different american themed fabrics, its gorgeous and helps me dream of the usa!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt that is on my bed right now is the one I made for the old red barn quilt along, thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDelete:( I don't have a quilt on my bed. Since I'm just learning to quilt I haven't made one yet - but soon. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI have my asian fan quilt on my bed - I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI have an 8 pointed star that is from Walmart that someone gave me because they know I like quilts and it is warm so... on top of that is a Double Wedding Ring that someone made for me about 8 years ago. I make and give away quilts and then others that I know will make and give me a quilt once in a great while. :)
ReplyDeleteHuh that was scary, your fingers look like my mum's (don't worry I like my mum) ... you're right that charm pack will make a lovely spring/summer table runner. So thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteBut to the question: to my shame there is no quilt on my bed, there are some cushions I made (it's doubling as my comfy reading couch during the day) and a turtle, a fabric turtle that is. Does that make me a bad person in quilting circles?
On my side of the bed (I'm always cold), I have a quilt I made for the Dead Simple QAL with a flannel backing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! On my bed right now is the first full quilt I made. It is a simple pattern with random 6 inch squares in plums and greens. It has been loved so much that it's stuffins are coming out. The shame...And I am a quilter. I probably should make me a new one, huh?
ReplyDeleteI have a peach colored quilt I actually bought years ago at a show. I love the colors. Thanks for the give away.
ReplyDeleteOn my bed is a flannel rag quilt I made about two years ago. It isn't fancy but it is my husband's favorite!
ReplyDeletebeth(dot)sebastian(at)gmail(dot)com
I have a hand pieced and quilted quilt I bought at a craft fair a few years ago on my bed. It's the perfect colors of greens and blues. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your wonderful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm ashamed to admit that the quilt on my bed right now is made in China! Very rustic looking, but not made by me! All my quilts have gone away to others. I must remedy this situation soon.
ReplyDeleteI HAD 3 quilts on my bed, but now that it's been 80 during the day, they got tossed on the floor. One quilt is a tessalating leaves quilt I made for hubby for christmas one year, another is a black and white and red quilt with large triangles- that's mine. and then there's a triangle sort of block batik quilt also for my husband, which he had hanging on his office wall for a long time until I made him a QR code quilt last christmas.
ReplyDeleteno quilt on my bed yet... I am halfway through making my first quilt that will be for me :)
ReplyDeleteI have a star quilt on our bed that my mom made us for our wedding. I'm just a newbie quilter and hope to in the future make a quilt big enough for our bed. But right now I'm learning on smaller quilts. Thanks for a chance to win the beautiful fabric! :)
ReplyDeleteno quilt on my bed.
ReplyDeletealthough I have made 3 quilts so far in 2012 and 6 in 2011 I have not made one for myself.
It should be next on my list -- right after the one for my best friend, each of my sisters and my husband
That's a really cute charm pack, thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteSadly, There is no quilt on my bed-only a store bought comforter. I have a Double Wedding Ring started. but still have a lot of pieceing to do on it.Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful fabric and the table runner pattern.(ccarter13@windstream.net)
ReplyDeleteThere is a Harley Davidson T-shirt quilt on my bed at the moment. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteOn my bed right now is a quilt made in the 1950s by my husband's great aunt in a 9 patch pattern, with prairie point border. After Aunt Carmel passed away, my mother-in-law found the quilt top, and knowing how much I love quilts, had a friend put a backing on & hand quilt the entire thing. She then gave me the quilt for my birthday. (I have the world's greatest mother-in-law!)
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I love that line too. No quilt on my bed yet. I just got a mid-arm and frame and getting busy making the top as we speak. Hopefully there will be one very very soon.
ReplyDeleteNo quilt on the bed YET...it is a work in progress...however, there are 2 lap quilts on the couch!
ReplyDeleteThere is a Blue and white log cabin quilt on my bed right now :-) Thanks for the great giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI don't have a quilt on my bed, because I just can't seem to get around to making one for myself! But each of my children have a quilt on their bed made by me. I do have a quilt in progress for my bed; a Swoon by Camille Roskelley! Thanks for the giveaway--cute charm pack!
ReplyDeleteSadly, the quilt on my bed is one I bought at WalMart, but in the spare bedroom is a Drunkard's Path quilt my gr-grandmother made, hand-pieced and quilted. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI think you made a wonderful choice! Sadly, the quilt on my bed is a storebought one. HOwever, we have several cats that sleep with us and this top has more than one tear in it from kitty claws! I would hate for that to happen to one myself or someone else spent hours making! (Plus, as a new quilter-I haven't made a queen size quilt yet!) I do have a kit for one on the shelf though....
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I have a quilt from Overstock on my bed right now, that I got before I started to learn to quilt, lol. I suppose that after my girls bedroom quilts are done, I'll be allowed to do one for me next!

ReplyDeleteI have my 9 patch quilt that I did with Crazy Mom Quilt's quilt along. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt on my bed right now is one that I bought-- I haven't gotten brave enough yet to tackle a king-size quilt.. so when I found a beautiful pieced and embroidered quilt in the clearance bin -- I grabbed it.. and I love it! The colors are perfect for my bedroom--- greens and blues.. Maybe one day, I will get my courage up and make my own.. :-) Thank you so much for the chance to win the pattern and charm pack-- Flora is gorgeous! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!!! I have a double wedding ring quilt on the bed right now.
ReplyDeleteOh, no...I don't have a quilt on my bed. I have a comforter from the store, and it is merely functional and not very nice to look at. You know how they say that the cobbler fixes everyone's shoes and yet his own children must run barefoot? That is me. I am the quilter who makes quilts for others but have none to put on my own bed. Isn't that sad?
ReplyDeleteHaven't made a quilt big enough to fit on our bed, yet. But we do have a quilt on there, made up of various shades of greens, reds and blues. I believe from Bed Bath & Beyond. Maybe when I finish my Swoon, I will put it on our bed. :o) Thanks for the chance to win.. I'm your newest follower. :o)
ReplyDeletexo
That's a great pattern. I really love table runners. And the fabric is beautiful. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI sadly don't have a quilt on our bed that I've made. Ours was purchased from a retail store. I'm not quite ready to make a quilt for our bed yet. I'm still too new to quilting to try tackling that kind of challenge as we have a king sized bed. One day soon though I would love to make one for our bed; just not now. I'll stick to quilts for our Grandchildren and table runners etc for awhile yet.
My bed is quiltless :-( I'm making an Anna Maria Horner quilt for it tho. Right now it just has a purchased comforter :-)
ReplyDeleteNo quilt on my bed right now. Too warm already!

ReplyDeleteI have a scrap quilt on my bed, made up of random 5" squares. I give away all the "fancy" quilts, because we have cats, kids & dogs. I don't keep anything I don't want chewed, clawed or spilt on :)
ReplyDeleteGreat colours in the charm pack!!
ReplyDeleteOn my bed right now is a jewel box scrappy quilt I made about 15 years ago!
I haave a whole cloth quilt that I hand quilted 10 years ago. I have a quilt top that I pieced 2 years ago and was going to learn to long arm with it. That is my new bed quilt if I ever get it all together. Thanks for the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteWonderful giveaways, thanks so much
ReplyDeleteOn my bed is the cover quilt (only made it much larger) from Scrap basket surprises.
My disappearing nine-patch is currently at the bottom of my bed but this is very soon to be replaced by my pinwheels when I finish quilting it. The main colour is Robin's Egg which is really cheerful and bright for springtime. Thank you for taking part in the blog hop.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I have a quilt given to me by a friend who has since passed. She was like a Mom to me. It is a two color quilt and hand quilted...I'm enjoying the blog hop, thanks for participating and the opportunity to win the Flora charm pack and table runner pattern...blog hopping from Michigan...(o:

On my bed right now is a quilt I made to celebrate my mom and dad's 50th anniversary. They both passed away last year and my sisters insisted that I get that quilt. It really brings back wonderful memories of my parents.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in the blog hop party. Your prize is wonderful!
Mostly just have wool blankets on my bed, but if I really want to dress it up, I put on my crocheted bedspread my grandmother made for my wedding. Hubby finds it a nuisance to fold it every evening, so most times right now it's in the cupboard, but still very visible, and very well loved. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI have a tri-shade purple quilt on my bed that I've had since middle school.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors. I am sleeping under a dresden plate quilt. Thanks for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI'm ashamed to say that I have a store-bought quilt on my bed right now. Because I'm so new to quilting I haven't dared make a large one yet - just lap sized quilts! :/ Thanks for the opportunity to win such a great giveaway! :)
ReplyDeleteThe quilt on my bed isn't technically a quilt but a doona cover but I did sew it! It's big square blocks one one side and Swoon blocks on the other - all out of Aviary 2 fabrics. Love love.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteOn my bed is a thin cover I made, not quilted, but pieces from a few long pieces od decorator fabric. I do intend to quilt a proper quilt for my bed, have had the batting stored for a couple of years now, but tackling a large quilt scares me! My daughter does have a quilt I made on her bed.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a quilt on our bed, but our guest bed has a hand crossed stitched hand quilted lovely quilt that my husbands great aunt made him for graduation. I love the spring colors and my favorite thing to make is table toppers. I'm trying to make one for each month and this would be great for April. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThe very first quilt I made over 20 years ago - a black, white, tan Half square blocks that I hand quilted. I will never part with that quilt. It is my benchmark to see how far I have come. Ummm really not all that far. LOL

My first quilt i made 3 years ago the flying geese pattern angchappell@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteThe quilt I have on my bed is an Americana one that I made several years ago. My first real attempt at a big quilt, and I chose King size! EEK! I didn't use the highest quality fabrics, and now some of them are starting to wear thin and tear. Oh well, that just means another project!
ReplyDeleteThere is no quilt on my bed right now, but there will be one soon. I'm just waiting after the long arm quilter to put it on my bed !
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
Aren't those little patterns great?? Love the charm pack you chose and would love to win.

ReplyDeleteGood choice on the charm pack. What quilt is on my bed right now??? None as I am a new quilter, but hope it won't be long before I decide.

ReplyDeleteMy green and black quilt is on my bed. It is the header at my blog if your are interested in looking at it.
ReplyDeleteOn my bed right now, is a Kmart comforter. Yes, I quilt. Yes, I make quilts, table runners... for family and friends. Unfortunately I love my collie "Sandy" and she LOVES to lounge on my bed most of the day. ;-> So I keep quilts on my son's bed, in the living room and on tables. Nothing nice on my bed. Thanks for the great giveaway. ;-> Toni Anne
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the name of the pattern, but it consists of an array of FQ's. I let my daughter pick out the colors. She chose mostly blues and lavenders. I taught her how to use the rotary cutter and she did a great job on cutting the fabrics. I was surprised at how accurate she was with her piecing. I pressed as she sewed. The quilt turned out beautiful. It's very scrappy looking! It would be fun to see photos rather than comments!
ReplyDeleteThe first quilt I made in on my bed--a queen size flannel rag quilt. If it EVER warms up, it will retire til next winter!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a quilt on my bed as the quilt I made was for my Mom's 80th Birthday two years ago and I have a top pieced for my Son and DIL's 10th Anniversary in April.

The quilt on my bed is made from Amy Butler fabric ( It is on my blog header) my eldest daughter calls it a vomit quilt as it is so busy, but I LOVE it!
