Pat Sloan's Globetrotter Mystery Quilt from 2014

My sewing club decided to do Pat Sloan's Globetrotter Mystery Quilt from 2014. We promised not to look ahead. I did mine using my stash in pinks and yellows even though we were instructed to pick one color way. Have to say, I am not one to follow rules very well. I love how my quilt turned out.

Here is the website to get the free downloadable patterns.   http://www.freequiltpatterns.info/globetrotting-2014-mystery-bom-by-pat-sloan.htm

Quilting Pictures

Just a couple of pics of some quilting I recently finished on a black and yellow quilt. I was able to practice feathers and some crazy 8 border design.

I call this the crazy 8 border design. Love loops.

I did edge to edge in the center of the quilt with feathers, flowers and curliques. It worked really well with these fabrics and design.

Mystery Quilt

The gals in my sewing club decided to do a mystery quilt using 5 fabrics. I recently finished mine and have it on the long arm. I used fabrics out of my stash and pieced the backing with fatt quarters in my stash as well.

When the blocks are sewn together they show a secondary pattern of the crosses. My busy fabrics needed that.

This pic shows the borders I was deciding whether to use or not. I decided to add borders since I already had them cut.

Love the colors.

Customer quilts

Here are 2 more customer quilts I recently finished in edge to edge quilting. These are done with simple free motion quilting which allows the piecework to shine. Both are lap size quilts.

Customer's Snail Trail Quilt

Just a little show and tell of a customer's snail trail quilt that she calls Monkey Tails. I did curlique monkey tails all over edge to edge.

Alaska Quilt

My husband asked for a quilt representing his home state of Alaska. Here is the final product....appliqued and pieced. Just need to get the binding sewn on.

In the green border I quilted words naming Alaska items in the quilt.
