Trip Around the World Doll Quilt

Trip Around the World doll quilt is a miniature of the same quilt I made for Abbi. Just thought I her favorite doll would like one too. Maybe I should get a pillow case done for doll. Hmmm....

Just need to get into the mail.

Doing some work with my Scrumptious fabric making 4 patches and 2 patches. So good so far.

Stop, Drop and Roll by Anka Treasures has patterns for 6 lapsize quilts, a table runner and a wall hanging. I picked out this gorgeous focal fabric for one of the lap quilt patterns with 2 braids in coordinating fabrics. I still need to add 2 big flowers that I will applique by hand. Pieces are all cut and ready to go.

Table Runner in Yellow

Just couldn't resist making this modern table runner from the book, Set the Table, one of my last purchases at the Quilts at the Marshall House before coming to Wyoming. This is called Calamity Cross by designer Jenifer Dick. The book has 11 awesome modern takes on table runners. I will definitely be making more of these designs.

One Fabric Quilt by Kay Nichols

In Kay Nichols book, One Fabric Quilts, a border print is cut into blocks and triangles and rearranged to make a quilt.  It's a bit like a stack n' whack or one block wonder technique and it is fun to see what new blocks will become once they are sewn together again. I have done this quilt top from a Christmas border print and hope to get enough interest to offer as a class at the Quilt Nook. Now I want to get another border print with narrower stripes to make a smaller quilt.

Tradition Meets Modern (in flannel)

In my new Wyoming home quilt shop flannel is often the fabric of choice. I just couldn't resist this awesome floral print. I added some complementary flannels and finished putting together this quilt. I will be offering this as a class teaching perfect pinwheels, making bias stems, and beginning needleturn applique.

First Finish in Wyoming

Placemats in favorite color orange using up strip scraps became my first totally finished project in my little apartment here in Wyoming. I am using coffee filters cut into 5 1/2 inch squares as my foundation/stabilizer in sewing the strips together. I see many strip blocks in my future.

Snowed In Sewing

Level III snow emergency still in effect from yesterdays blizzard with most businesses closed and no quilt show. (sniff, sniff) So what to do??? Quilt, of course!!!

Table runner top finished and working on quilting.

Love all the runners in this book.

Flannels just purchased to make my first Rag Quilt.
