Charm Pack Tote with no charms

The charm pack tote is one I have made before with a Kansas Troubles charm pack and a Fig Tree charm pack but this one I did with Laurel Burch fabrics as a gift for my sister who will be moving to Florida soon. I also made a matching checkbook cover. These were fun and very easy to do. I especially like the checkbook cover because it has a place for your pen.

Bedrunner Done

One of my loves in quilting is doing needleturn applique and I just finished bedrunner to go with a queen quilt in the same fabrics by the same designer, Blackbird Designs. Just love the pinks and browns and can't wait to start quilting this. Maybe I can even get it done for the Marshall quilt show the end of March. Really need to get going!!!

Quilt Retreat at Hankerd Inn

This past weekend was spent with 5 quilting friends at the Hankerd Inn north of Jackson, Michigan. The owner of the inn is a quilter, among many other endeavors, and has rooms set up just for quilters. I was able to make progress on the twin size quilts for my great nieces. They still need 4 borders, one of which is a flying geese border, and some applique done on the large yellow areas. As per my usual....I miscalculated how many blocks I needed and had to add something to make the quilts long enough, hence the extra yellow. Just need to come up with something interesting to machine applique there.

Lonni Rossi fabrics

Off to a great start this morning taking pics of some recent projects. I have fallen in love with Lonni Rossi's new line of fabrics, Fairmont Park, and have started a D9P. Not sure how this is going to turn out as it is still in the planning. Here are some of the fabrics and 3 blocks I have done. Should I make all the blocks the same or all different??? Just don't know.

Here are 2 more pieced hexies that are ready to be made into hexagons. These are being done in 30's repro fabrics.

Making another strip tube quilt kingsize for my brother and SIL. 8 blocks done with only 73 more to make. I'll be working on these at the upcoming retreat at Hankerd Inn next weekend.

One of the shop's regular customers, Pat, asked me to help her finish some quilts. This is one I am doing now. Every other block will have a heart. This will be a queen size quilt when done. It is for her niece....a wedding quilt....who was married 7 years ago. Yes, I said 7 years ago. That's why I am helping her.
